Whether you prefer the personal touch of an in-office visit or the flexibility of a virtual session, we are here to support you.
I’m Jeanette Dreyer, an Educational Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Centurion. For over 25 years, I’ve helped adults, teens, and couples find clarity and healing through life’s most difficult seasons — whether that means navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
My approach is both scientific and deeply human. I draw on evidence-based methods such as EMDR, BWRT, and hypnotherapy, while creating a safe, compassionate space where genuine transformation can unfold. Healing, I believe, is not just about managing symptoms — it’s about gently uncovering and releasing the deeper patterns that keep you feeling stuck, so that you can live with more balance, confidence, and self-trust.
Over the decades, I’ve seen again and again how resilience grows in the presence of empathy. My work is grounded in respect, authenticity, and the belief that each person already carries within them the potential for healing and change.
When I’m not in session, I’m often outdoors, in my garden or walking — moments that remind me of the quiet growth that’s always happening beneath the surface, both in nature and within ourselves.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward feeling more at peace and connected with yourself, I’d be honoured to walk that path with you.
Master of Education in Psychology, University of Pretoria
My postgraduate qualification combines educational theory and psychology, focusing on how people learn, develop, and function within both educational and therapeutic settings.
This degree included advanced training in psychological assessment, counselling techniques, child and adolescent development, learning difficulties, and therapeutic intervention planning.
It qualifies me as an Educational Psychologist and forms the foundation for my work with both children and adults in therapeutic and educational contexts.
B.Ed. (Psyc) Pretoria — Bachelor of Education in Psychology, University of Pretoria
My undergraduate studies bridged the disciplines of education and psychology. They explored learning processes, behavioural development, and the psychological principles underpinning effective education.
This degree laid the groundwork for my understanding of how emotional, social, and cognitive factors impact learning and personal growth.
B.A. (Unisa) — Bachelor of Arts, University of South Africa
My Bachelor of Arts provided a strong theoretical grounding in human behaviour, communication, and interpersonal dynamics.
This early qualification built the theoretical base for my later therapeutic work and deepened my understanding of how people think, feel, and connect.
DSORO (Unisa) — Diploma in Specialised Organisational and Resource Orientation
This diploma focused on educational and organisational support systems — including guidance counselling, remedial education, and resource management.
It strengthened my ability to assess and support learners facing academic or emotional barriers, integrating psychological principles into educational settings.
HPOD (Wellington) — Higher Diploma in Personnel and Organisational Development
This qualification focused on leadership, human development, and workplace psychology.
It deepened my understanding of adult learning, motivation, and organisational dynamics — valuable insights that I now bring into family systems and couples therapy.
Medical Hypno-Analysis (SASCH)
Through the South African Society of Clinical Hypnosis (SASCH), I trained in a therapeutic approach that combines hypnotherapy and psychoanalytic techniques to explore subconscious roots of emotional distress.
This equips me to work with trauma, anxiety, and psychosomatic symptoms by addressing underlying subconscious processes in a safe and effective way.
EMDR (Education Unlimited)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps people process and heal from distressing experiences.
I use EMDR to support clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress — helping them to reprocess painful memories and reclaim calm and confidence.
Certified Imago Therapist (Imago Relationships International)
Imago Therapy focuses on understanding relational patterns and emotional wounds that shape how we connect in relationships.
In my couples work, I use Imago principles to help partners move from conflict toward empathy, understanding, and genuine connection.
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®, Essex Institute)
BWRT® is a modern, neuroscience-based therapy that helps rewire automatic emotional responses.
I use BWRT® to help clients quickly and effectively overcome trauma, anxiety, phobias, and self-sabotaging patterns — without retraumatisation.

Break through the subconscious patterns of thought that are holding you back
We are living in challenging times that demand a lot from us. This pressure can trigger our past hurts to come to the surface complicating life even further.
At the same time, we are privileged to live in these times because it offers a golden opportunity for personal growth. Every challenge contains a hidden gift.
More than ever before people are realizing the importance of emotional health and are making it a priority in their lives.
I offer advanced forms of therapy that make it possible to identity and address the root cause of problems, leading to effective results.
You don’t have to be a victim of life, Rise to the occasion. See life as an adventure to be lived, not as a crisis to be handled.
You remember the bliss of falling in love, but a few years into marriage it seems to be lost and you don't know how to restore it.
Are you frustrated with repeating the same old style of communication, blaming, criticizing, belittling, judging each other?
You might think at times that you married the wrong person, that you’re completely incompatible.
Imago therapy can open a whole new world of understanding and hope to you. You will learn why you were so strongly attracted to each other and what caused that love to seem to evaporate. Imago therapy provides tools to foster personal growth, mutual understanding and happiness.
I invite you to invest in your marriage and turn it into your biggest asset and joy in life.
No man is an island. We all are in relationships which determine our happiness or unhappiness.
Family relationships play the most important role in our lives, and an individual’s therapy is often more successful by involving the family if needed.
Family therapy can also help to gain a better understanding, as well as how family dynamics may contribute to the problem.
Family members need to be advised what they need to change in order to further the healing process.
There are often misunderstandings in families because of a lack of communication.
I see the family together facilitating communication which leads to better understanding and happiness.
Jeanette Dreyer provides Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing Treatment for Trauma
I have a special interest in trauma counselling. I am a qualified certified therapist in two different forms of spesialised treatment for trauma namely EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy)
Are you suffering with PTSD?
If you are struggling to move on after a traumatic incident such as an armed robbery, an accident, or the loss of a loved one, EMDR & is an effective therapy to help you process the trauma & move past it.
Are negative and destructive habits robbing you of success and quality of life?
Our negative habits often point to deep underlying emotional issues which need to be uncovered and resolved.
In the hypnotic state you may gain access to valuable insights that can explain how your destructive habits were formed, which is the key to overcoming them.
With access to the subconscious mind, deep negative perceptions can be identified and replaced with positive perceptions aligning the conscious and subconscious mind to co-operate together as a strong force to bring about a desired change.
Hypnotherapy often brings about faster results in fewer sessions, but the number of sessions required will depend on the nature and severity of the problem.
Most problems can be solved in eight therapy sessions.
